  • Disappointingly biased.

I bought this as it was advertised as a in depth history of the Tudors. What is really is, is an analysis of the breakdown of the Catholic Church in Tudor times - a topic seemingly close to the author's heart. Unfortunately it was a very biased account of these times - there were many crticisms of the Protestant behaviour, but similar actions by the Catholics were not questioned. If the promo for the book had stated the true context, I would have possibly read the book to find out the reason behind the split in the church. However, the level of bias attitude would still have made me want to throw it at the wall. The only thing stopping me was I was reading it on a new Kobo. I could not bring myself to finish reading it. I would only recommend it to commited catholics who are still coming to terms with the reformation.

    Thanks for your feedback!
