    Ms

Well written with strong characters and a story line drawing on Native American anthropology and fairy tale. Lively description and action keep momentum going.

    Good read

Enjoyed book very much. I like books in a series. Loved the characters very much. Looking forward to next book.

    Feels like a bait-and-switch.

The first book in this series was fairly decent: interesting setting, OK plot, conventional characters, unusual magic system. So I bought the second book, and what a disappointment it was! We go straight into Twilight territory with it: everything other than burning glances and hot bodies become a side-note. There's also a subplot that was tooth-grindingly bad. Apparently, gay men in this setting are all magical, can grow wings, and are flamboyant. Because all gay people are just like that, right? Sheesh...
