    Unconditional love

This story is very sad!! This young mom deserved a metal for everything she went through! It is sad that there were many many cases like hers. Thank goodness we have come a long way since then!

    So true

As a child of an unarried mum in the 1950s it took me a while to read this but it is so sympathetic but also realistic. My mum never married and we both suferred the stigma but I would never have changed my life and I found a letter of my mum's that said se never regretted having me. She is now 86 with alzheimers but although she doesn't know me now. I still remember the love she always gave to me.

    The Unmarried Mother

What a wonderful story. She was so right in writing her story without trying to hide the facts. A lot of young girls today would learn a lot from her story.
