  • Outstanding character depiction

One of the best books I have ever read. Vivid, poignant and full of live, the struggles of the self, shame and societal injustices. Powerful and enthralling. What a terrible world to grow up in. Thank you for this deeply moving, extremely well written book

    Thanks for your feedback!

  • Realidad de la raza en EEUU

Me ha gustado mucho. Una novela muy interesante mediante la cual podemos descubrir el significado de ser negro/a en EEUU en en siglo XX.

  • Brit Bennett's writing is on another level

So well written, entertaining and moving. I so badly wanted things to work out for every single character

  • Enjoyable read

Intriguing and enjoyable read, wonderful writing as Bennett masterfully weaves together the lives of three generations of DeVignes women. She plots out the similarities and differences in each person and makes the reader reflect on their values as they observe how each life unfolds. For me, it conveyed the importance of authenticity and staying true to who you are, regardless of societal biases/prejudices.
