  • A weekend from hell!

Unfortunately this was not my kind of book which was disappointing as there are many great reviews of Charlotte Wood's works. Three miserable and uninteresting old friends meet for a weekend to clear out the house that belonged to their dear departed friend. Of course all their skeletons come out of the closet and during these few days together their relationships are strained to their limits. Thoroughly depressing with human frailty, particularly as one ages, painfully exposed. Well written and easy to read prose. It is the content that is hard to handle.

    Thanks for your feedback!

  • Disappointing

Well written but all the characters were unappealing and ultimately a depressing read.
