The Well at the World's End

Another delightful book from this author. Sandy McKinnon is a kind and gentle man, with a lot of imagination and an astonishingly impractical approach to life. He gets there in the end by good luck rather than good management. He reminds me of a quieter Bill Bryson.

    In consistent

I didn't enjoy approximately the first half of the book, he was fairly stupid. I persevered and the book improved he seemed to mature a bit and his writing style improved.

    Excellent book

Excellent reading - humorous, lively, vivid narration. Also a most interesting travel story.
