    The Whistler

As usual John Grisham gets me into a heap of trouble at home! As soon as I read the first page I'm hooked and am loathed to put it down until the last page, needless to say, I try not to tell my husband when I'm about to start reading the latest JG. He knows that regular mealtimes become a thing of the past until I finish the book. This one was brilliant, no surprise there, it kept me reading well into the night, until I fell asleep in my chair, it's that good. My favourite has always been The Runaway Jury, and now, this one comes a very close runner up. Thank you JG, I look forward to the next one. ps my husband says, please take your time!

    The Whistler

Probably, in my humble opinion, one of his best. I've loved reading John Grisham since I first read Time to Kill, and he has had some weaker efforts, and some real barn-stormers. This is most definitely in the latter bracket. Believable characters, both good and bad, run through a believable plot and the way everything falls into place works superbly. The only bad thing is that it eventually ends! Daft I know, but sometimes it's such a shame a book has an ending that you almost feel disappointed with it. Do you ever feel that? This is a very highly recommended read from the master in his class. Well done John, back to your very best.

    Gripping

Another excellent Grisham book. Twists and turns as expected. The ending wasn't as anticipated but a good read.
