  • Couldn't put it down

Amelia Hutchins has done it again. Her worlds are well described and her characters well developed. I loved it. There is humor, tears and angst. In this installment of the Elite Guard series you meet Ryder's brother Sinjinn and Icelyn. Icelyn is offered up as a tithe by her Court to the Horde King, Ryder. Ryder sends his brothers, including Sinjinn to the Winter Court to retrieve her; it doesnt end well. I couldn't put it down. It made me laugh and cry. And wanting to throat punch a couple of the characters. And it leaves you wanting more. There wasn't much I didn't like about this book, I honestly can't think of one thing that was wrong. This book can be read as a stand alone, with a HEA; but you will have a better understanding of characters and the Fae Realm if you read from the start at Fighting Destiny (Fae Chronicles).

  • The Ice Princess

As usual Amelia Hutchins, left us wanting more, was so sorry this book came yo an end. Amelia has a way of telling a story about that had the characters coming alive and you are observing as they do. Can't wait for the story to continue.

  • A very strong female character.

This was an enjoyable book to read as it has twists in it that hadn't appeared in any of the other Fae Series / Elite Guard books. Icelyn was also a great strong character who gave the Horde a run for their money. Well written as always by Amelia Hutchins.

  • Great addition to the series

A great addition to the series. It's dark and gritty. Sinjinn and Icelyn are fire and ice together. In a way destiny and fate weave an intricate story for these two. They're so much more than either may realize. There's twists and turns with some surprising revelations. It's a story that unravels a plot that only thickens, gripping you, keeping on edge until the very end.
