    A nice surprise!

Brilliant! I have to admit to being sceptical for the first chapter or so but it drew me in!

    Vivid and imaginative good plot

Bit slow at the beginning but gets to intriguing and descriptive enough to make you visualize the scenes well written as usual.

    Off track

This novel really takes the series away from the first three books, in a mostly disappointing way. The singular focus on the events in the castle dont hold up to the grand events and historical import of situations in the early stories. Not so much interesting history here, even if the setting reflects much research. And, perhaps most problematic, this story takes character offside, from heroic knight to sherlock homesian guest. The story is okay, but it does not belong in this series.

    Interesting

Interesting for the historical setting and quite gripping who summit but I found that it ground on at an ever slower pace as it made for the climax. Mi
