  • Loved it

Wow, I really ejoyed this book. Hard to put down. Great how the story had twist and turns, and didn't follow a predictable formula. When is her next book out? I will look for some books by her mum now too (Meg Hutchinson). Cool!

    Thanks for your feedback!

  • The Worhouse Children

It was okay. Found the dialogue to be very simplistic and the story line very predictable. However, the pace of the story was good.

  • Good amd engaging

I thought the story good but the descriptive passages did harp on fashion quite a lot and there were some odd turns of phrase eg. the said place etc....Some bits we're predictable but having said that I doubt, when faced with novel writing, that I could do any better. Parts were not believable in terms of human reactions. On the whole an engaging read though.

  • The Workhouse Children

It is a nice read , but really too good to be true . It was horrible what really went on in those places .Would love for it to of been true for the people who suffered in those places . I will try other books by this author she is a good writer .

  • The Workhouse children

Very good book. Well written. We like to pretend these things do not happen but with the amount of homelessness happening now in our society makes one wonder what will happen in the future. At least there was a place for people to go then, now we try to pretend homeless people do not exist.
