  • Working on the land, with time for contemplation

Written when there was little mechanization of land work, it was tough and physical work, for long hours. Collis was no ordinary land worker, more of an academic, so he was able to observe and record this lasting account of life at the time.

    Thanks for your feedback!

  • The worm forgives the plough.

Very slow going,a one-paced rather tedious description of working in field and forest,a few insights but fairly well trodden paths.

    Thanks for your feedback!
