    Loved it

Living in Australia I have a fair idea of how a socialist society could work. Sadly we are moving further towards a capitalist society daily. So nice to read about a country that is practicing sucessful socialism on a scale Australia can only dream of.

    Better than I thought

I wanted an overview with tidbits about being Danish to help me and my children tap into their genes. Successfully acquired thanks to the witty and laugh-out-loud style of Ms. Russells intentionally acquired factdom of Denmark that is laced with eye opening humor and snegle (spelling?) references. Would have enjoyed an original recipe tucked in here or there for a tastebud oasis of such greatness but that only means a good Danish cookbook will be found. Thanks for the mindcation to kick the covers of winter doldrums.

    Very relatable

I wish I had of read this before I came to live in Denmark , the book is spot on how it feels to come to Jutland as a Brit to live. Some of my Danish colleagues are reading it too, so they can see my point of view on the difference in culture. We can all learn from this book, even if you don’t live here, it’s an eye opener to the simple things that truly make people happier!
