  • The year of the flood

After reading the book Oryx and Crake I was looking forward to following Margaret Atwood's imagination again. I wasn't disappointed, it was a good read with some moral questions raised along the way.

  • Rather slow moving

Solid character and "world" development. But there's very few parts of this book which left me feeling like I just had to keep reading. So to criticize it, the pace is quite slow and laboured. There were passages, such as the frequent sermons from Adam One that are just so long winded and inconsequential to the plot that I ended up skipping them. They just add more fluff and don't really progress the plot. We'll written, but in need of a happicuppa! (Coffee).
