  • A view into the mind of a fanatic

I’ve read some of his pieces in the guardian and although tending towards the right-wing in my views I have always found his perspective interesting. I read this book hoping to find an expansion on his views. Instead of that it is a history of his part in the fight against the hated enemy (with the emphasis on hated) - the Tories. Although at one point he admits a Tory he worked with was a good person he appears to never attempt to understand their viewpoint instead believing every Tory is a selfish upper class idiot who enjoys hurting the poor. The only way I can describe this viewpoint is as that of a fanatic. A very sad mindset.

    Thanks for your feedback!
