  • The Third Daughter

Enjoy reading this while listening to my bollywood mix. Couldn't bear to stop reading. Love it! Was hoping for more hot romancing though.

  • Gripping

It seems a little slower in the beginning and then picks up so well that there's a shocking reveal every chapter. I like the characters; they were developed well and all had purpose. You knew who to root for. And the visuals Susan draws with her words are absolutely beautiful. My only critique is that all the royal conversation felt very boxy and hard to read. I'm forced to assume that is how it's supposed to be out of the book as well. Also, all the loose ends were tied up nicely as far as I recall. So I would pick up Second Daughter.

This book was a decent read. The developments of feelings been aniri and Ash was good. There was a good mixture of adventure, intrigue and Romance.

  • okay story, but won't continue reading next book

This story is kind of like Bollywood type of movie. In this story, only woman can be a queen like a matriarch society. I'm kind of surprise with a liberated view of sexual freedom for women in this book, especially with married women. I don't much like Aniri who is the third princess of a kingdom. Her prince is a little bit weak, not sure why he's attracted to Aniri anyway.

  • Very enjoyable!

I really enjoyed this book. The mix of Bollywood and steampunk was unusual and the world she described seemed real. The storyline had unexpected twists and turns and I liked the characters.
