  • Third Rail (Five Buroughs)

This book made me laugh so hard. I love it when a character is absolutely hilarious, and the sex and romance isn't so serious.

  • Perfect teasing intro leading up to Citywide

Despite being intrigued by Aiden’s character in First and First and interested in the dynamics of his and Jace’s relationship after snippets gleaned through other Five Boroughs books, I didn’t really know what to expect when I began Third Rail. I certainly wasn’t expecting it to hook me as much as it did. I won’t lie, I expect a good amount of heat every time I pick up a book by Mr. Hassell, but with Third Rail being a short story, I expected it to be more along the lines of an erotic story like Corrupting Chris. Instead, Third Rail proved to be the perfect teasing intro for the triad of Jace, Aiden, and Chris- a relationship that’s further explored in the upcoming Five Boroughs anthology, Citywide. There was a good amount of story and character development considering the length, ensuring this was way more than an erotic scene or two. I quickly became quite invested in these characters, and ended the book eager to see how things would resolve in Citywide. Third Rail is definitely worth the download if you’re a fan of Mr. Hassell’s and I highly recommend reading it before delving into the three men’s full story included in the anthology.

    Thanks for your feedback!
