  • A visceral & timely personal perspective

In an effort to become a better intersectional feminist, I came across this book and am so glad I gave it a chance. It is a visceral, graphic, often uncomfortable read, but it provided insight that I had not encountered elsewhere. By the end, I found some of my had preconceptions profoundly shifted and when observing issues of race and feminism in the headlines, I now often think back to some of the authors deeply personal accounts. Highly recommended!
