    Thanks for your feedback!

    Thomas Jefferson

This biography caught my eye mostly because The author, Christopher Hitchens is an interesting and controversial person. Now deceased he has been an avowed and outspoken atheist. Certainly this could play a part in the depiction of Jefferson's religious leanings. Jefferson's insistence on the separation of church and state is well dealt with. TJ described as a Deist. As I understand it one who believes in a higher power but does not believe in any direct interaction with humans, hence prayer not a factor
