    Sexy rock star romance!

This first book in the Bandmates series takes us into a world of excess, where alcohol and sex abound, inhibitions are lost and two strangers become more to each other than either ever expected. This is the story of Lock (real name Keaton), front man for the band Half-Life and Hailey, a Sunday School teacher who confronts Lock on behalf of her pregnant sister Chloe in the belief that someone in his entourage is responsible for her sister's condition. Lock will allow Hailey to investigate on the condition that she sign a contract to stay with him for three days, indulging his every sexual fantasy after which time they will part ways. I like the portrayal of Lock's character as an anti-hero. He's a recovering alcoholic who sees sex strictly as a commodity to be bargained and traded. He's rough, he's impatient, he's abrupt - and he makes Hailey's blood sing. Yet something about Hailey sparks a tenderness in him that she sees and accepts despite his words to the contrary. Hailey's character comes across as that of a good girl finally given the chance to act out her deepest fantasies. She relishes this sudden freedom to let go of her inhibitions. We see Lock's character becoming more caring as Hailey's influence over him deepens. The story takes place over only three days, yet their shared experiences lead to a trust developing that Lock never anticipated. Both characters were portrayed in a believable manner for their life experience, and the sexual chemistry between them was off the charts! These authors know how to craft some pretty steamy scenes. There is a secondary subplot between Hailey's sister Chloe and her man of interest Tim that takes place concurrent with Hailey and Lock's story. It was also very engaging and well written. As well, the introduction of the other Half-Life band members and their interactions with Lock round out the story and are key to the plot. The juxtaposition of religion into the mix was also interesting, a reminder that in the real world sex and religion co-mingle. This a fast paced, sexy, riveting book that will leave you wanting to know more about this band. I'll definitely be on the lookout for the next Bandmates story. 4 smokin' stars!

    Rockstar Meets Preschool Teacher

**MAY CONTAIN SPOILERS** Where or where to begin. Shari and Amber did an amazing job with this book. It starts out by showing you what a sister (Hailey) is willing to do for her younger sister (Chloe). While trying to find answers, she discovers "answers" to some of her own fantasies. The life of a Rockstar is far from fabulous, at least as portrayed in this book. Rockstars have fears and demons just like everybody else, only the public wants to see it all on display. Unfortunately for Hailey she gets caught in the crossfire. I was very happy with how this ended for Hailey and Lock/Keaton as well as for Chloe and her baby's dad. If you want to find out what that happily ever after is, pick this up and get it read NOW!

    Hot hot hot

This book was a good fun hot read! Made me want to find my own rockstar love how Hailey wasn’t as naive and stupid as I thought she was going to be!

    Hmmmm

Great premise, but hardly believable. The younger sister's story had promise but the older sister's story was utter rubbish. I can't remember their names because the whole Sunday school teacher becoming corruptible in under how many hours of hanging out with a rock star was pathetically hilarious.
