    Wonderful 80 year old heroine

Florence is a lovely heroine to spend a book with in this deeply touching story about old age, the stories we all tell ourselves about our lives, and why everyone matters.

Devoured in a day. Now bereft.

A book you can't wait to finish, will miss as soon as you have read the last word . . . and will remember forever.

    Three things about Elsie

Justifiably a Richard and Judy best pick. Very well written, in a format which swings between different characters point of view entertainingly. Explores various topics of the human phsyche, some of which every reader will identify with. It was one of my best reads of the year. Great stuff.

    Wonderful book

A lovely read. A sometimes frustrating and complicated story as we view the world through the eyes of our still present heroine. Touching and gently written.

    3 things about Elsie

I found this hard to read. It required perseverance. I didn't understand the ending. There are parts of the book that are so cleverly and so aptly written. So I would encourage you to read it, but don't expect it to be an easy one.
