    Thanks for your feedback!

Wonderful. A nice twist on time travel paradox and human nature, the book explores the idea that a new philosophy can change the future. Asher is the only character given any real substance but since he is also the only character in large parts of the book that isn't a problem. He is convincing and his confusion and actions are always believable. There is a twist of sorts but it isn't that well hidden and isn't truly necessary to the story. It is an unusually dark outlook for Simak with a darker ending than usual. It works very well though. It's not his best but is certainly far from his worst.
