  • To love a sunburnt country

This was an amazing saga, pretty harrowing in parts but a very good read, I reccomend this to readers who love a story so descriptive, you almost feel thay you are there. I love the baby talk ......a sense of humour but also a good sense of adventure and the hardship of what the was about. This would be a good movie.

  • To love a sunburnt country

Liked this story. Very descriptic writing that made you feel that you are actually in the story. Very sad when gavin was killed after the women and even the japanese guards had kept him alive for so long.

  • Bland predictable

I was barely able to get half way struggling with cardboard characters and predictable plot and cliche dialogue. I finished it to see who survived but besides some small surprises, I was bored with this book.

To love a sunburnt country is one of the best jackie french books ever. It may be a bit sad [ l cryed...Hay l am only 10] . I would suggest it to anyone who likes jackie french. It is 4th in the Matilda saga. Read it l dare you! - Maddie
