  • Wonderful

A very nice collection of first rate science fiction stories, I enjoyed every single one, rare in a collection, these are science fiction stories not stories where science fiction is just a prop. Highly recommended.

  • Amazing imagination, brilliantly written

It has been a long time since I read such an astounding collection of imaginative, speculative and science fiction. I loved every story, each with its twists and turns. Best of all was what was left unsaid: the writer did not assume you were an idiot who needed everything explained; your own imagination was left intact after each story, blended beautifully with the writer's. Breathtaking!

  • Brilliant!

I bought this book because the cover looked pretty cool, I love futuristic stories, and it was only a couple of bucks as an e-book. I don't typically enjoy short stories as much as full length novels, but I figured, why not give a new author a chance? Am I ever glad I did. Some of Rich Larson's military SF reminded me of Neal Asher. Slashy, bitey, aliens from your darkest nightmares? Check. "Extraction Request" ticked all the boxes. But there was more. So much heart in Larson's work, especially the stories with teenagers as main characters. "Edited" stood out. Who ever expected to read about a gay teenager's heartache in a sci-fi collection? "Innumerable Glimmering Lights" was brilliant in presenting what a hyper-intelligent octopus' family structure and social interactions could be like! Needless to say, I bought a paper copy of this book to add to my shelves. I will also be looking out for more of Larson's books ("Annex" is up next).

    Thanks for your feedback!
