  • Hot! No cliffhanger!!

This is the first story I've read by Karen Stivali and I loved it! Friends to lovers is one of my favorite trope whether it's F/M, M/M or some other combination. The story was both sweet and touching with just the right amount of sexy time. I will be reading more of Ms. Stivali's work soon. Thank you for such a great story!

  • Short and sweet

Tonight was an enjoyable short story, like a little snippet out of David and Wiley’s lives and I wish it could be longer because they were so cute together. Both David and Wiley were likable characters and their chemistry was great. Wiley’s life was turned upside down in high school and he’s tried to repress who he really is to make his mother happy. He’s managed to keep his crush on David a secret but once he’s living under the same roof he can’t keep things in forever. I felt so bad for Wiley and how he was treated as a teenager and I loved how David handled things. His words to Wiley were so sweet and even though he’s the younger of the two, he clearly has a nurturing side. After there night of revelations and some sexy times, Wiley is ready to live his life just how he wants. When Wiley comes out, Derek was a fantastic brother about everything and I liked his support. He clearly loves his brother and best friend and I was glad he didn’t pull a complete freak out.

  • Quick read

A nice quick read I enjoyed. Perhaps Wiles and David will have a continuation.

  • super sexy m/m short!

Really enjoyed this sibling's best friend short story! I like this trope anyway, and the execution of it was great, featuring a gay young man David and his crush on his brother Derek's best friend Wiley (who his brother insists isn't gay). I enjoyed the camaraderie of all the characters, the brother's together and each of their relationships with Wiley. The sexual chemistry between David and Wiley is definitely present and leads to some steamy scenes between them as Wiley admits to David that he's been interested in him all along. I really appreciated Derek's acceptance of his brother David being gay, letting David be comfortable with his sexual orientation in a way that many young men (like Wiley who has been in the closet) don't have the chance to be. For a short story it packs a lot of punch and was a super read. 5 stars!
