  • Absolutely fantastic!

I've been looking forward to reading Neely Kate's story about her mysterious past for such a long time and I knew I wouldn't be disappointed. I was even more excited when I read the first two chapters a couple of days before publication, and then when I found out it was actually going to be a full book rather than a novella I was like a kid at Christmas! I began the book as soon as possible and was immediately intrigued as soon as I began reading, especially given the history between the characters we've come to know and love through the Rose Gardner series and it soon became clear how much Neely Kate had to lose if Kate had found out about her past. When she decided to keep the latest letter from Kate a secret from Rose, then to confront her past, I just knew it was going to be an emotional rollercoaster of a story. The emerging relationship and chemistry between Neely Kate and Jed has been absolutely beautiful and sometimes downright comical, but seeing them grow together in this, and also seeing the softer side of Jed was definitely a factor in my immense enjoyment of this fantastic book. I may even have enjoyed watching them becoming closer almost as much as discovering the secrets Neely Kate is so desperate to escape, however, finding out how difficult her early life was, and the terrible things she's lived through only endeared her more in my eyes. I don't think it's fair to give away any spoilers and possibly ruin the suspense for anyone who has yet to read this beautiful book so I think it's best for me to keep this review short and sweet. However, what I can say, hand on heart, is that if you have read even one of the other brilliant books in the series, then you will already have taken Neely Kate into your heart, and will quite simply adore this fantastic book.

  • I love this entire series

The day is finally here! We get a chance to sneak a peek into the life of one Miss Neely Kate Couslon and see what makes her tick. Apparently she has a lot on her mind because this book went from being a novella into a full fledge book. I for one can't wait to see what secrets she's been keeping to herself.

  • Don't Mess with Neely Kate

Trailer Trash by Denise Grover Swank is the Neely Kate story we've all been clamoring for! I've always admired Neely Kate for being so incredibly strong even with the things that have happened to her. Getting to look into her past has been one heck of a journey. Her half-sister Kate intends to reveal Neely Kate's secrets to the world, things which she'd rather keep hidden. This book will have you happy crying, ugly crying, feeling enraged, and cheering for Neely Kate all the while. Neely Kate has two new men in her life, one her half-brother in Joe Simmons, and the other an unexpected romantic interest in Jed Carlisle. She doesn't *need* either one of them, and that's why I feel like the presence of both of them is wonderful for Neely Kate. Joe gives her the kind of safe relationship she's never had before... he's the protective older brother. Jed gives her the possibility of a romantic interest that has naturally evolved over MANY books. I've always liked Jed because he's as loyal as he is a skilled bodyguard for Skeeter Malcolm. Both relationships present tons of potential. Neely Kate just has to let herself trust the people who love her, Rose Gardner included. To really know Neely Kate, this book is a MUST READ for fans of the world of Rose Gardner. Knowing that this is the first of (hopefully) many more standalone books from Neely Kate's point of view is thoroughly exciting! She's a fierce woman, and an equally fierce friend, and I can't wait to see her journey continue.

Wow, i have to admit, i didnt think it was going to be as good as the Rose Gardner series, after all I've been more attached to Rose. Until now. This book filled me with so many emotions. Happiness, love and even tears. I can't wait for the next book!
