  • Great book, interestingly told

Over the years I’ve enjoyed Iain M Banks’ books enormously, but never been quite so keen on his non-SF works. With his far too early passing, I felt that I had to somewhat get over my reluctance to read his other works, so downloaded this. I’m glad I did, and can see why many people regard this as an SF book - it can certainly be convincingly argued, regardless this is a great story, with some typically Banksian twists and turns, and also showcases his inventiveness when playing with the narration of the story. Not an easy read in places, but if you like his other works, you’ll be very likely to enjoy this also.

    Thanks for your feedback!
