  • Part One Doesn't Disappoint

The story behind the head of the Beladors, but this is only the first part! I've been looking forward to this story since it was announced. Loved this story and I'm looking forward to more! Please note that I did receive an ARC of this book, and the opinions expressed in this review are my own.

  • I can't wait for the next one!

Dianna Love and dragons? Yes, please! The Belador World is one of my favorites and I was jumping with joy when I found out Love was going to be diving into dragons. It's a dream come true. And to have so many of them come out so soon...*swoon* This first book of the spin-off series in the Belador world perfectly recaps all that we have experienced so far. It's not all crammed out in some sort of summary in the first chapter. It's all strategically placed within a masterful story, which is just how I like it. So, if you haven't read any of the other Belador books, I think you would be fine starting here. Poor Daegan. I feel like I just need to say that. After reading more about him and his past in this book, I think he is going to be one of the most complex characters out there. I long for what's to come, but at the same time, I'm dreading it as well. His story is not going to take him down Easy Street. And Casidhe? She has my attention. I'm very intrigued to see where things go for her, to say the least. Love writes fierce female characters, and I'm going to go ahead and add Casidhe to my list of "Best Butt-Kicking Ladies." So to sum things up without giving anything away. Thrilling story...check! Characters I can't get enough of...check! Fascinating legends, lore, and history...check! Moments that have me burning through pages while I'm on the edge of my seat...check! The feeling that the next one can't come soon enough...check! If you are afraid of getting hooked on another magnificent series, stay away from this one, because it will sink it's dragon claws into you quickly, and not let go.

  • New Adventures in the Belador World

It's been awhile since readers have seen Trey, Tristan, Evale and the whole Atlanta Belador gang together so this first book in a new Belador series with all the old gang was kind of a guilty pleasure. Add to that a centuries old immortal dragon king and I was sold within the first few pages. This new story, offers all the magic we've come to expect from Love's multi-volume Belador saga. It's also got an epic scope with settings ranging from the familiar Atlanta to Ireland with stops in several magical realms along the way. There's plenty of action, lots of monsters, a good bit of mystery and intrigue and all the magical fireworks and shifter fisticuffs I've come to expect of this author's work. It is the first of a new series, so if you're looking for a quick one and done read, you're probably in the wrong place and, because it's set in the Belador world, it would likely help if you've read at least a few of the earlier stories (not a hardship - they're great reading and most are still readily available), but if you're looking for a new favourite world and go-to series, Love has promised these will be released in fairly short order so you won't be waiting around for years and harassing the author or the next book every year or so. All in all, I loved Book 1 and I can't wait for the next one.

  • Great action and adventure!

4.5 Stars  This is the first book in the Treoir Dragon Chronicles of the Belador World series and it’s not about any one specific character but it’s telling the story of what’s happening in the Bellator world right now. It’s an exciting, action packed adventure with totally amazing characters.  There’s a lot happening but everything has its place and makes sense.  Also, it ends with a huge cliffhanger BUT the books will be released monthly until the series is complete. I can’t wait for the next book!
