  • Mysterious Third

This is the third book in a series set in a modern world were modern technology has failed. It's winter, which has made daily survival very hard. Yet things get worse when Mark Green is accused of murder. Can the Branning family clear him? Once again, I was pulled into this world. And the mystery was actually well developed here as well.

  • The Pulse Continues

The Star pulse continues wrecking havoc on the world. There’s no running water, electricity, phones and very little mail service. Engineers have brought the train to life through using steam. A few vehicles are running that were made before the computer chips got involved. But life is still very difficult. Banks continue to be closed but FEMA is offering each person $25 every three months. You must be present and the lines are long and the air is hot. The selfishness of some cause trouble to the point of murder. The sheriff’s staff is almost non-existent and the prisoners cause an uproar ending with two deputies murdered and the sheriff shot. They all escape. The Brannon family is once again forefront and center as they struggle to survive and honor God at the same time. Mark is being accused of a crime he didn’t commit just because of the reputation of his evil father. I have gotten so involved in this four book series that I’m struggling with remembering what’s really happening in our world with a Covid 19 and in this fictionalized world. God is working in our real world just as he is in this fictionalized story. This was a library loan and I was not required to write a review.
