  • Good book

Read this quite quickly as it's not a lengthy book. Interesting to read and harrowing at times as you would expect from a book about slavery.

  • Amazing

Such an amazing story - to have endured so much and not having given up hope. Shocking and disgusting what some have done to others. It's not godly or human. One complaint - there appeared to be some glitch with the book as some words would be blanked out and not words one would expect to be blanked. Odd

  • Twelve Years A Slave

This book should be required reading for all of us. It is a man, a well educated man telling us how the instituion of slavery changed the lives, the souls, of everyone. It reads like a documentary, with careful descriptions meant to shield the reader from the horror of the reality, but the truth is there to see. It is a National Treasure. Solomon Northrup was a very great man.

  • Twelve years a slave

A revealing story about a terrible practice. Solomon writes clearly and logically with thought to his reader.

  • Twelve years a slave

Wow what an amazing man, beautifully and sensitively written account of the way white barbarians bought and sold human beings into slavery because of their colour and ethnicity. It makes one ashamed to be white.

    Thanks for your feedback!
