  • Excellent addition to this series!

Twilight at Blueberry Barrens, written by Colleen Coble is book 3 in the Sunset Cove series. I've read the other books and thought they were okay, but this one was awesome! Kept me guessing all along as to "who done it" and had a great ending! My favorite character: Drake by far! Drake was the all round kind of character that loves his family, takes care of those he loves, and finds he can be loved in the midst of taking care of those he loves and cares for. I think Coble did an excellent job with his character building. The suspense kept me turning those pages until I was finally done! Wasn't sure who was behind some of the situations, but the twists and turns kept me thoroughly involved in this book! I was pleasantly surprised because I didn't think book 2 was as good as this one, but quickly found that Coble had the touch with this book! I received this book through Netgalley. All thoughts and comments in this review are my own.

  • Christian Suspense

Twilight at Blueberry Barrens is a contemporary Christian romantic suspense. When Kate takes up the position of nanny for the attractive Drake’s daughters, she doesn’t expect it to come with fearing for her life from the villain chasing Drake’s family. Just look at that cover! How could I not read it? I enjoyed Twilight at Blueberry Barrens. It was an interesting, suspenseful read. The plot and characters were well-thought out, and it was fun watching the romance develop between Kate and Drake. The story was suspenseful (but not too suspenseful; another series I read just about gave me an anxiety attack), and there were dangerous people coming from several avenues. While this book didn’t hook me into reading the rest of the series (I’m not really a suspense fan at all) I remember it being an interesting novel. If you do like Christian suspense, then you’ve probably already heard of Colleen Coble and would enjoy this book much more than I have. I received a complementary copy of this book. All opinions are my own, and I am not obligated to provide a positive review.
