    American authorship at its worst

I finally got too disgusted to read the complete novel (more like a pail of slop) because I am sick and tired and repulsed by the author's condesention , ignorance and overt xenophobia. He should be aware that all things of value are not restricted to the bounds of the U.S.A., just as all readers are not fans of insult and ignorance. But having said that, I realize he is probably a product of the Common Core educational system and is probably one of the failed primary students whom the teachers were forbidden to holdback in case his phyche got damaged. His depiction of my fellow Canadians is both unfair and deeply insulting. Americans are not the inventors or discoverers of all things. Had he been able to seepasthis ignorannt nose and done only a tiny bit of digging, he would have discovered that the science of profiling came from Canadian law enforcement, not the FBI or any other US institution.. Grow up, read some facts and stop your childish efforts to be funny. You just might turn out a work worth reading..

    Interesting read

A fun book, with an engaging main character. I couldn't put it down. However, the author's grammar leaves a great deal to be desired. And either his English is imperfect, or spellcheck has corrupted many of the words he wrote. A better editor would have been able to fix these many errors. Enjoyable nevertheless. I would recommend it.

Good book with a rough and confusing start

I was thoroughly disappointed at the beginning of the book. The story was slow and confusing. The author jumps around in time without letting the reader know. I almost gave up reading it. Then about 1/3 of the way through, the story takes shape and is gripping - at that point, I had a hard time putting it down! So I guess I have to rate it 4 star even though I did not like the beginning. Would have rated 5 star had the author at least helped the reader understand the story by using titles to indicate changes in time between the past and present.

    Good Book!

Well written, with humor, and definitely a page-turner. One of the better murder thrillers I have read in a while. Plot and story line very well done.

    Unforeseen

The story line wasn't very humorous but the things the detective said and did was. Great reading for one of those days you feel blue and need a good laugh
