  • Good book

I like that he doesn't state what we need to do, mostly gives facts about what's going on and then potential solutions. Not screaming fire, just the facts.

  • Essential reading

An important book which deserves a wide audience. Koonin's faithfulness to proper scientific methods enlightens this often controversial area.

  • The nuts and bolts of climate change.

Very essential reading to the understanding of climate change. Gives us the science behind temperature change, tide changes, carbon dioxide levels. population effects, etc. He doesn't hit the panic button and instead gives us ideas on how to combat these issues. He may have given too many graphs and charts for the unscientific person.

  • Essentiel

Un livre qui peut calmer l'hystérie à propos du climat. Un livre qu'il faut lire pour comprendre comment la science est devenue «La Science» et pourquoi chacun a le devoir d'aiguiser son sens critique.

  • The title is apt, Koonin uses odd models

The author gets a plus for some data, but his models are mostly now well discredited. I'd knock more points off, but consider it may have taken some time between authoring the book and getting it published, I have to give an allowance. Mostly though, the old saw; "Follow the money" is an app guide to anyone assessing an if an author has a financial agenda.

    Thanks for your feedback!
