  • Loved it

Loved! Loved! Loved! This is an exquisitely told story of a woman dealing with all the issues faced when trying to rebuild a life. Freshly divorced and facing forty, being alone isn't exactly appealing. When a chance encounter with a much younger man turns into so much more Kate Adam's world is rocked off it's axis. Throw in a controlling abusive ex and a rocky at best relationship with her teenage daughter and it may be more than Kate can handle. I loved the characters in this book and with all that was going on, never once did I feel lost. Great writing kept everything together and moving forward. I highly recommend this one for everyone.

  • Much More than Romance, Loved it!!

I absolutely loved this book. It is a book that you will not be able to put down. Newly divorced, turning forty, Kate is ready to venture out into life again. She meets a younger, but very mature David at a bar. They have a one night stand, but they both want more. This book is just not just another romance, but so much deeper. Kate has a daughter, who is seventeen and is going through many life choices of her own. Her ex husband, whom I dislike (to put it mildly) has emotionally abused Kate through their marriage and still trying to ruin her life. Kate looks at this romance on how it will affect everyone in her life. Jeannie Moon has outdone herself in this book, the pages just kept turning until the end. I sure didn't want it to end. This has been the best book that I have read this year. I highly recommend this book.

  • Excellent Read!

"Until You" by Jeannie Moon is the story of Kate Adams and David Burke. Kate is a newly divorced school teacher and author. David is a pro hockey star for the Flyers and can have any girl he wants. It's Kate's fortieth birthday and she is alone at a California hotel on the deck wondering how her life turned out like it did. David approaches her and ask her to go out to dinner with him. Kate usually doesn't take any chances, but she accepts his invitation. They got along really well, have a night of passion, and find out that both live in Philly. Will they see each other again? How will David react when he finds out that she is ten years older than him? This story is amazing! You have a cougar romance, lots of twists and turns that were unexpected, family dynamics, plus dealing with the press since Kate is a well known published author and David a star on the Flyers pro hockey team. How will Kate feel when she finds out why David asked her out in the first place? Will they be able to find their happily ever after? I received a copy of this book from Tule Publishing for an honest review. FYI, contains mature content.

  • realistic issues and an emotional storyline

After her divorce, Kate is a little insecure but thanks to David she finds herself again. Once she discovers who she is at her core, she’s surprisingly settled for her past – strong and confident. But she has to let that past go and remember how great she really is. And that she can hold the interest of a younger, super-hot pro-athlete. David grows up a lot too. He starts to realize the man that he didn’t even know he wanted to be. He just has to convince Kate that he’s ready to commit and that she’s the one for him. David and Kate face a lot of troubles, because of their fears and hang-ups, but it leads to a really great HEA. The characters are fantastic, both the main and secondary, and Moon does a wonderful job of drawing you into their world. And of making you interested in what happens next - I really hope we get Jack’s story. I felt for him almost as much as the main characters. He’s young but a good guy underneath and he got a good kick in the teeth so I have my fingers crossed that we can see him get his own HEA. With realistic issues and an emotional storyline, Until You is definitely one to add to your TBR pile. (Complimentary copy provided in exchange for an honest review)

  • FIVE STAR Contemporary Romance/Women's Fiction

I've read all of Jeannie Moon's other books and have really enjoyed each one (especially The Wedding Secret and This Christmas!!) I distract easily and have a demanding home life with many interruptions, so I hesitated to take on a story of this length and depth. I was prepared for it being more than a simple escapist romance, in the realm of woman's fiction with romantic elements. But boy am a glad I purchased this read. The opening chapters hooked me. I loved the concept of a woman turning forty attracting the attention of a younger ma, a pro-athlete at that, and enjoying an uninhibited weekend away from her responsibilities. Of course I wanted David and Kate's romance to be "more" but once she returned home I realized the many obstacles that stood in their way. I was compelled to keep reading. I was drawn into Kate's complicated life, the difficult ex-husband, teaching career, and her aloof 17-year-old daughter. Parts of this story tore at my soul, having suffered some similar losses as the heroine, and to be honest, I struggled at one point to keep reading, not wanting to dredge up those awful memories again, but something about Kate and her daughter's personal issues kept me turning those pages. I realize now that reading this book was cathartic at some levels. I have Ms. Moon to thank for that. The story surprised me a few times with its twists, taking the characters down a different path than I'd anticipated, and I was impressed by the way in which the author resolved many of the problems in Kate's life. By the end of the story, I was grinning from ear to ear. Kate went through hell and back to earn her true love, and a wonderful relationship with her daughter as well! This story was realistic and hopeful and sexy all rolled into one. I would definitely love to revisit this family when Laura is an adult and finds her love. Who knows? Maybe she will have a beautiful reunion romance.
