    Walking into the Ocean

Pretentious bloated with 10 dollar words story line interesting but did not move along fast enough for me. Disappointed with this book.

    Walking Into the Ocean

Many hidden & confusing references made for a difficult read.

    Disappointing

I was quite disappointed with this book. The hero is a semi-retired Scotland Yard inspector, in his late 60s who wears a dark suit, a bowler and a brolly! However he gets into, and survives, more dangerous escapades than James Bond! The inclusion of a strong mystical element in the story did not fit well with the rest of the book. I will likely give this author a miss from now on.

Keeps you guessing until the end

I love a good detective/mystery and this was right up there. A very good read. The story line was well thought out. British crime stories are one of my favourites.
