  • Great overall, but needs refinement

This was a very good book. Erin Hunter has truly put some thought into the plot of this subseries. Even as a teenager, I enjoy these books and appreciate all of the time and effort that has gone into them. The plot of "The Broken Code" series has taken a much different path than I am used to with these books, but I am happy that Erin Hunter has come up with fresh material, and different points of view other then just ThunderClan cats. Hunter has impressed me with the depth of this storyline, and it is evident that they have grown as a writer. However, I did come across some issues, like when it had said that Sparkpelt died, but she came back later in the book. That was the worst of it. The other thing that I had some major problems with is the word choice. Throughout the book, Hunter continually used the word "atone" over and over, and it started to get very annoying. I wouldn't mind a wider variety of word choice, even though this is a series about groups of cats living in the woods. Thank you, Erin Hunter, for producing this artful piece of writing. You have suceeded to deliver your readers good books, and I cannot wait to read the next book. May StarClan light your path, always.

  • Absolutely amazing!

I have been in love with this series since elementary school and to this day I still re-read the books. Wonderful writing and amazing character arcs! I just wish the books were longer haha, I finished this one in one day. But definitely worth the read!

  • Amazing

BEST BOOK EVER. I've never read a book better than this one, well maybe The Broken Code #3 will be better but you'll never know. There's a lot if action and sespence like The Omen Of The Stars #6, The Last Hope. I know that cliff hangers are needed but when I see a cliff hanger and I don't have the next book, I WILL wait like this is the most important thing in my life. But I also like cliff hangers very much because you will feel like you HAVE to read the next book, and when get the book you will feel like a pinyata that's filled with happiness.
