  • Quick & dirty with heat & heart

Warning: A dirty talking and sometimes infuriating yet completely sexy and entirely lovable Alpha male will be found within these pages. I laughed, I cried, I wanted to throw things, I want to hurt someone (namely Shaw). I was completely captivated by the story and the characters. Smoking hot sexy times? Check. Intense feels? Check. Man who makes you want to scream, for more than one reason? CHECK! Wednesday is a quick, hot & dirty friends to lovers romance that gets all dirtied up with the forbidden element due to the fact that Shaw's is a widow. Naughty times happen at inappropriate times and places, so prepare to be entertained! Kendall Ryan is definitely one of my go-to one-click authors. When I realized this story was a novella I was a little concerned about how I was going to get everything I wanted from this story in such a short time frame, but I definitely was NOT disappointed. Kendall always knows how to deliver just what is needed in a story, with perfect timing and spectacular results.

  • Fantastic read!!!

Talk about an emotional read. My heart was torn between wanting to reach in to my kindle and shaking Chloe and telling her to stop, to wanting to smack Shaw upside his head. The chemistry between these two is crazy, and it was great to see Shaw finally emerge from the hole he was in, even if it took a bit of a wake up call to get there. Chloe was an awesome heroine, and seemed to know exactly what she needed to do after she came to realize how deep her feelings for Shaw truly went. This story drew me in, and had me on the edge of my seat in some places, and other spots left me shocked as information was revealed. This is definitely a must read!!

  • Pretty Fair Read

**3.75 Stars** Chloe and Shaw had been best friends since they were young children. Chloe doesn’t remember a time that she hasn’t loved him. But during college he met someone and they married after graduation. Chloe was broken and stayed away from them. It was just too painful. Shaw purposely stayed away from his best friend because his new wife was jealous and she laid down the law to keep away from her. I thought that was cowardly of Shaw giving up his best friend of more than twenty years to keep the peace with the wife. That should have been worked out and settled before he married the woman and I hurt for the heartache and betrayal she went through. About a year into his marriage Shaw’s wife was killed by a drunk driver. Chloe was there for him. He even took her to an upstairs bathroom at his in-laws home and had sex with her for the first time right after the funeral. He began going to her every Wednesday for his relief and well as hers. She didn’t like being used but she loved him so much she would take him anyway she could get him. She knows she can’t keep on this path because they each want different things in life and relationships. I was not happy with some of the filthy talk and could have done without the names he called her girly parts.

  • Sexy and Angsty Novella!

Wednesday is a short and sexy novella that blends the friends to lovers and best friend's sister tropes together with a bit of forbidden romance thrown in for good measure. I really enjoyed this quick read and found myself wrapped up in Shaw and Chloe's friendship with benefits story almost immediately. Telling the story from both of their points of views also helped paint a clearer picture of their emotional turmoil and gave insight into their decisions and behavior. My heart ached for both of them as they stumbled through their feelings for each other and the ramifications of their actions. Since it's a novella, we don't get a lot of back story or character development, but I thought there was a good mix of sexy times and angst and that the pacing was just right. I did find Shaw's behavior a bit much at times and had a hard time believing that he would treat his best friend in such a cold way. I do understand that he was grieving and confused and that grief can make people act very differently, but his epiphany and actions at the end of the story gave me emotional whiplash. I also had some issues with Chloe and her willingness to submit to Shaw in every way just to keep him in her life. I wanted her to have more backbone and be unapologetic about it. I was rooting for them to get their happily ever after though, and the last chapters and epilogue showed me the sweeter side to Shaw that Chloe saw in him all along. Overall, Wednesday is an emotionally packed novella that you won't want to put down!

  • Can't put it down...

I was hooked on this book since I read the synopsis and felt that angst seeping out. I read the first few pages of the first chapter and I can't put the book down. I read & reread this book probably 4 times now since I got it, it is that good. It quickly earned a place on my "Reread" pile.
