  • Loved Nick!

Isobel will soon be in London to partake in the marriage mart and she couldn’t be less thrilled. As a Scottish lass the last thing she wants is to marry an Englishman. However, the handsome stable lad, Nick, which she’s come to know intimately could make a girl think twice. Nick is driven by passion and desire when he rescues a wild and brazen Scottish lady. Everything about her amuses or arouses him and he yearns for more moments with her. When she disappears he’s afrain he’ll never see her again. Good fortune is on his side when he finds her again in London. Unfortunately, he’s not what she’s looking for in a husband but she’ll keep him as a lover. This was an entertaining read with plenty of humor, lots of steam and a tad of angst. The banter between this couple was so cute and charming. I loved that Nick went into automatic alpha mode whenever another man even so much as looked at Isobel. There is a bit of push from Isobel as she is determined to remain an independent woman and return to her homeland. My heart hurt for Nick as he longed for everything from her but was brusquely informed he could expect no more than what they already had. The ending had a bit of drama and then a small epilogue that didn’t give us too much look into their future. Overall, this was a very enjoyable read. This is an honest review of an advanced copy provided by NetGalley and St. Martin’s Press Swerve. Dual POV Safe – some ow drama but the H is constantly running from her and the h is helping him No apparent triggers

  • A fun, sexy, and meddling families read!

Isobel and Nick 4VR! Okay, childish, but these two are so darn cute together. Both have sworn off marriage, both just want to live their lives for who they are, not what they are, both have large, meddling, families, and both fall ridiculously for the other the moment they meet These are children from previous stories from the authour, as the Noble Passions and Untamed Highlanders blend with these two. They are all grown up now, but just as devious and cunning, oh, and headstrong, as their parents were before them Nick has always known he will someday be Duke, and his whole life, everyone around him knew it too, except for Isobel. Isobel has no use for fancy Englishmen, the ones she has met seemed too tame and weak. She loves her home in Scotland too much to ever leave it behind, it isn't even a thought she can consider A bumpy ride in the relationship with these two, lots of meddling, and a determined suitor who won't leave Nick alone. The side characters are familiar, and new, and they add to the entire tapestry that the story is. Lots of fun, lots of sexy, and a tide of emotions to drown under!

  • historical romance

What a Highlander's Got To Do by Sabrina York Untamed Highlanders #5 Looking for an easy to read simple romance that is rather predictable? Want a feisty female heroine? Want a Lord to marry the heroine? Want a horse chase and save? Want push-pull with both H&h undecided? This might be the book for you. That said…I really liked the previous books in this series but felt this one needed more…more about why Isobel was so leery…why Nick was the way he was…why Celia and her mom go away with what they did…so many times…The story was wrapped up in a bow by the end but it was not my favorite book by this author. That said…I will read her next book to see if I like it better. Thank you to NetGalley and St. Martin’s Press for the ARC – This is my honest review. 2-3 Stars

  • Scottish regency Romance at its best

You know you are in for an exceptional reading experience when you start a new book and you realize as you read the first chapter you are totally captivated by the author’s storyline and totally drawn to its main characters of Edward (Nick) Wyeth, Viscount Stirling a swoon worthy patient and sometimes frustrated hero and Isobel Lochlannach a strong willed and independent Scottish lass who is very opinionated when it came to her feelings about English Lords, love and marriage. One of my all-time favorite genres to read is Scottish Highlander Regency Romances. In my opinion this novel is an example of Scottish Romance at its Best! This story had it all, impeccable writing, strong multi- dimensional characters that are believable and endearing, a plot with substance that is masterfully written and keeps the reader interested in how it will end as well as twists, turns and an epilogue that enhances the plot. It has all the elements of a really good romance with just the right amount of emotion, drama and wit. Many people purchase a book by storyline for that reason I don’t do detailed storyline spoilers. I feel it is unfair to the author to describe the book in detail when writing is their livelihood. In my personal opinion, this story is an outstanding read that I highly recommend. I received an advanced readers copy from the Publisher through NetGalley for my honest opinion. It was a pleasure to read and review this book.

  • I Love a Strong Heroine!

I loved the story of Nick and Isobel. With the way it was written, I could just see him in his kilt in my mind by the descriptions given! Isobel is extremely strong minded and knows what she wants, or at least she thought she did until she met Nick. Nick sets out to win her and has his hands full! The ending was pretty awesome I must say! I was given an ARC by NetGalley.
