  • Martha Wells is find!

I did not know this author before trying this book. Her characters are clearly defined and the world well crafted. The events also flow logically within the mythology created. This was good read!

  • Exceptional

IMHO Martha Wells is one of the most underrated writers working today. I love Martha Wells work, and I love this book. Wheel of the Infinite is not your typical fantasy novel; in fact it is not your typical anything. It is exceptional. The world building is understated, completely unlike anything else I have ever read, and completely convincing. The characters are equally well-drawn & believable--& likable. It also happens to be a very good story. If you don't care for character driven fiction, with amazing world building and a good story (evolving somewhat slowly & meticulously), this isn't for you. But if you like any of those things, do yourself a favor & read this. Then read all her other books (starting with Murderbot Diaries, which is about as wildly different from Wheel of the Infinite as it can get).

    Thanks for your feedback!

  • Good world building

Martha Wells is a superb weaver of worlds. While this isn't her best effort, it stands head and shoulders above most others because of its sheer imagination. This world she builds is so familiar, yet so different than our own
