  • A beautiful read

4.5 Stars Although this is the second book in the light in the dark series, it can easily be read as a standalone. I haven't read the previous book and had no issues with following the story line in this book. This is Thea and Xanders story of finding their happy ever after. When Stars Collide is a fast paced read. The story is quite sweet. After a night in Vegas the pair awake to matching wedding rings. Thea and Xander are a great couple. They have a great chemistry. I love a brother's best friend story and this was quite a unique take on this type of theme. This book has drama in the form of both family and friends. Some points made me smile as I was reading, and I found it to be quite heartwarming. There were several points that I was laughing out loud. When Stars Collide is generally a light hearted read that confronts abuse so may be a trigger for some readers. I loved the characters of this book. The hero Xander was quite swoon-worthy and incredibly sweet and lovable. The heroine Thea was likeable and fun. I really enjoyed the side characters in this book, adding a depth to the story line. I look forward to the next book in this series. This was a very entertaining and enjoyable read that I finished in one sitting.
