A five-star review When the Scoundrel Sins by Anna

Annabelle is about to inherit the property where she has been so happy and considers her home. All she has to do is to get married but to whom? Quinn has always been teasing Belle when they were younger. Now she has become a wonderful woman, caring, hard worker and intelligent. Quinn is drawn to her, like a moth to the light. However, he is unable to help her. A wonderful read where the characters are very likable. They are strong but caring, totally down to earth who work hard to achieve their goals. I like how Anna works hard with the workers, no matter how dirty she gets. I like too how Quinn starts to love Belle’s property and the people who work in it and how he involves himself in the problems they are having. It is always a pleasure to read a book by Anna Harrington. If you like a good romance and you like Regency this is the perfect book for you. I voluntarily reviewed a gifted copy given to me by NetGalley.

    Historical Romance

Annabelle Green, Ladies companion, has a scandalous situation occur during her debut year in society. Lord and Lady Ainsley were hoping for the best for Belle but it was not to be. Six years later she is in need of a husband or she will lose the property bequeathed to her by Lord Ainsley BUT only if she marries by her 25th birthday. Her dream is to own and run the estate without the encumbrance of a husband but that is not in the cards. Into this situation steps Quinton Carlisle – the person she was caught with at the ball six years before. He arrives at Lady Ainsley’s request and is asked by her to help vet men wanting to marry Belle. His plans to go to America are put on hold until the best possible future for Belle is determined. This is a fun story with an eventual HEA. I found Belle and Quinn were well suited for one another but at times wanted to tell them to do or say something that didn’t seem to come to mind on their parts. I have not read the first book in this series but as this is a standalone story had no trouble reading and enjoying it. I am interested in reading Robert’s story next and if I find Sebastian’s, book one, will read it, too. Thank you to the author, NetGalley and Grand Central Publishing for the ARC – This is my honest review.
