    First Love

Usually you get the perspective of the soldier and the woman that loves them and how the life impacts them. It's not a put down or complaint it is merely truth. However what this author does is create an easy read because of how it flows but a devastatingly emotional read from the person who stays stateside. Not only that this author takes us down memory lane and unravels their past from her perspective as events happen in her present. He has had a rough past that has kept him locked in his own prison, while she has existed for his return. The story this author reveals is poignant, introspective and so much more but it also touches on the PTSD and the problems our soldiers face when they return or try to return home. When it's your first love, your one true love, when it is what saved you. . . what do you do? This is m first read from this author and it is by no mean a standalone, but it is an amazing beginning to the series and I really need more.
