Has something for everyone to enjoy!

~ 4 White Tiger Stars ~ This series has fast become one of my favorites to read. I enjoy the assortment of shifters, the world building is remarkable, and the character dynamics are great. Ashley knows how to write a great paranormal romance and she keeps things new and fresh with each installment. White Tiger is book eight in the Shifters Unbound series by Jennifer Ashley. It can be read as a stand a lone, but I feel you will get more enjoyment if you read the novels in order. Kendrick has popped up briefly before. He’s a protective daddy, caring and a fighter. He’s fighting/protecting his son’s as well as trying to find a safe haven for his shifters to live and to stay free/un-collared. Addison is a strong female who’s had a few bad breaks, but she doesn’t let that get her down. When things get crazy at the dinner she’s working at, she immediately sides with the man who protects her and his “cubs”. The author does a suburb job connecting you to the characters. Their conversations and the characters themselves feel realistic. The world created is vast and it keeps growing. The series started out in Austin, Texas and has expanded to other Shiftertowns as well as shifters who avoided getting rounded up and collared. Their life, culture and how they deal with everything and the changes happening; is fascinating. This book takes us on a different turn. We leave the Shiftertowns and move out into the open wide world, where their is tension and danger. The danger is not from humans or the Fae, but from other shifters. This adds a whole new dimension to this already vast and unique world. Dylan also shows up and plays a large role. Even though he stepped down as shifter alpha you see that he is still powerful and much more involved in things. This series has something for everyone to enjoy. We get a vast array of shifters, great world building, fast-paced, action-paced and romance. I can’t wait for the Guardian’s Mate. Just from the little teaser we get at the end of White Tiger we already see it’s going to be another unique and different aspect to the world. *Disclaimer: I received a complimentary ARC copy provided by Berkley Publishing Group via NetGalley with the sole purpose of an honest review. Great Shifter Book!

Oh my goodness! I absolutely LOVED this book! I don’t know why I haven’t discovered this series before but I’m completely hooked! What drew me to this book was the synopsis! I loved the idea of this lonely waitress Addison just working and trying to figure out her life, when one evening a tall man with white and black striped hair walks into her diner with three young children. After several nights of seeing them, interacting with them and wanting to know more, all hell breaks loose and Addison finds herself caught up in a Shifter dispute and tasked with guarding three boys…who turn out to be shifters too! I found myself easily relating to Addison. She is a strong woman and fiercely protective of those she calls her own. The boys/cubs were just the cutest, and I found myself losing my heart to them just as Addison did. And it wasn’t hard at all to fall in love with Kendrick. He is a great father, a great leader, protective, loyal and very passionate. I am dreamy sighing as I write this review! What I thought was interesting about the book was the Shifter politics. Having never read the series before, I was not familiar with the background of the animosity between humans and Shifters. From what I could tell, the humans have collared Shifters (put some kind of shock collar around their necks to make sure they don’t get out of control, or as another way of the humans/government controlling them). The Collared Shifters are rounded up and put into Shiftertowns, away from human cities. Basically doing to them what the white man did to the First Nations people by forcing them on reservations during the 1800s. Even though I was unfamiliar with some parts of the politics/background, it did not take away from my enjoyment of the story. I thought the book was brilliantly written and have already put the rest of the Shifters Unbound series on my TBR(to be read) pile! WHITE TIGER is an exciting and entertaining paranormal romance and I encourage everyone to experience it! ***I was gifted an eBook copy from the publisher via Net Galley in exchange for an honest review. All conclusions reached are my own***

    White Tiger

Kendrick has been the Guardian of the un-Collared Shifters for twenty years but he’s been forced to flee and his only salvation is the beautiful Addison Price in this thrilling paranormal romance. Addison has seen a lot of unusual drifters come and go but none has ever captivated and intimidated her like the imposing fugitive who wields a broadsword with incredible skill and the readers can’t help but get caught up in the excitement as Addison joins Kendrick in a passionate bid for freedom. The relationship between Addison and Kendrick is a bit complicated due to circumstances but the chemistry is sizzling and the passion is scorching with lots of emotional turbulence adding depth to this story from both Addison and Kendrick along with other characters throughout the story. The fast paced and smooth flowing plot thrills readers with lots of suspense, excitement and romance while the strong, captivating characters demand reader’s attention as they struggle with their attraction while trying to stay alive among betrayals and a shifter plot that would see Kendrick and a lot of other shifters dead. The story starts off with a thrilling event and continues to hold readers captive with lots of adrenaline pumping excitement and spine tingling anticipation as Kendrick and Addison try to find a safe haven for Kendrick’s shifters all while avoiding those who would cage them and someone from Kendrick’s past has come back with a vengeance adding to the excitement and danger since he has quite the evil plan. The scenes are well written and full of vivid details that make it easy for the reader to become engrossed in all the engaging events. Every book in the Shifters Unbound series has always held my complete attention from beginning to end, but I have to say that Kendrick’s story has just became on my favorites as the story was full of unexpected twist that kept me on the edge of my seat. Oh, I guess I should warn you, not only will you want to keep Kendrick for your very own, there are three little heart stealers in this story as well.

    Fantastic 4 star read.

I picked up my first Jennifer Ashley book with the first book in the Shifter's Unbound series, Pride Mates. The cover was so unique and interesting, I couldn't help but pick it up. This was a new take on shifters, and I hadn't read anything else like it at the time. I knew when I finished it, I had read something that had the potential to become amazing. Here we are 6 years and 18 stories later, and I'm still marveling at the author's ability to keep me charmed and fascinated. Our story started in a diner, near midnight. Addison is looking forward to the mysterious man coming in for his late night pie run. She doesn't know his name, but she knew the names of the three small boys whom he brought in with him and their choice of banana cream pie. But tonight, things don't go as they normally do. First off, he is late, and secondly, someone comes looking for him. Things just go straight to hell at this point and Addison finds out that the men and little boys are shifters, and that someone is after them. When she gets sucked into their problems, she doesn't hesitate but to offer her help. If you aren't new to the series, Kendrick was the leader of the compound that was raided back in Bear Attraction. Kendrick was not only the leader of the group of non-collared shifters, but their Guardian as well. He is a rare White Tiger, and he has 2 biological cubs and 1 adopted wolf cub. This was such an great read, getting to see Kendrick as a leader, a Guardian and as a father. Watching him try to fight the mating frenzy to be with Addison, because he had leader or father duties to preform, helped define him as a man of honor. I adored that Addison had no problem standing up to him or anyone else. Human or not, Addison was definitely meant to be the mate of a leader. Plus, we got to touch base with many from the Austin shiftertown, including the polar bear healer, Zander. (I can't wait to get his story!) I had a wonderful time with this story and can't wait for the next one. This was a fantastic 4 star read. Thanks to Netgalley and Berkly Publishing Group for the opportunity to read and review the book.
