  • Kacey and Ben 's story

Kacey returns home after serving in the military to find an old flame Ben returning home at the same time. Secrets come out as events happen calling both into services and families to come together. Enjoyed this author's characters and their growth as they maneuver the twist and tragedies of life happening in Montana. A page turner to the end to find out what happens. Ebook from netgalley and publishers with thanks. Opinion my own.

  • Fabulous start to new series...Must Read!

Wild Montana Skies, written by Susan May Warren, is book one of the Montana Rescue Series. Oh, I can't tell you enough how much I loved this book! It was just an awesome read from the beginning to the end! There truly wasn't one page of it that I didn't thoroughly enjoy! There was adventure, mystery, love, romance, family drama, possible murder and a great godly storyline. I went from cheering the characters on to wiping a stray tear for the struggles they endured. A must read! I just loved the characters, Kacey and Ben. Kacey was a brave woman who made a ton of mistakes as a teen yet tried to fix it by working hard as a pilot in the military. She finds out she had been manipulated into the life she led and now she has to figure out if she can truly give it all to God and let Him work it all out. Ben...he too made a ton of mistakes as a teen and he had also been manipulated into his life as a country music star...now nearly 14 years later, he has to stop running from fear and give it all to God. They're both beautiful characters that most anyone can relate to because we all have pasts and most people beat themselves up over mistakes that they feel they can't fix. Warren takes these characters and shows the worst of the worst circumstances can sometimes be used to guide us to the answer to all of our issues and problems...God's grace is waiting for us to accept and He can truly bring forth gold from the mess of life. Can Kacey and Ben accept His grace? I'm so excited to read the rest of the books in this series. Totally love the other characters that are part of the SAR team. No doubt some great storylines are in their future! Loved this book...Totally recommend this read! I was provided a copy of this book by Netgalley. All opinions in this review are my own.

  • Wonderful

This is a wonderful, inspirational read that held my attention from the first page to the last. Set in the beautiful countryside of Montana around the Glacier National Park, the author does an impressive job of painting a picture and bringing the scene right to you through her writing. It's an incredible story of past pain, secrets, forgiveness, and new beginnings. Kacey Fairing is back home in Mercy Falls currently on leave from the military but looking to take a permanent job with the local search and rescue team. She has a daughter who barely knows her having been home only between deployments for the last 12 years. What she doesn't realize is that Ben King is also back in Mercy Falls. Ben King, the father of her daughter. The daughter he knows nothing about. Avoiding him won't be an option either. With the state being in a state of emergency due to the floods, they will be working together to help others. Emotions are high, faith is questioned, and the future undecided but Ben and Kacey always had a special connection and nothing has changed. Can they find a way back to each other? Definitely a recommended read.
