A good read, about returning to the village you grow up in, finding something don't change but when they do they change for the better. When the grandson of much loved regular at the dog and duck come back to the village. He meets Ellie ! an on and off relationship starts! Which makes an excellent tail!

  • Great read.

I really enjoyed this gentle little story. Believable characters, and true small village and pub feel to it.

  • Cosy up: a feel-good read and visit the Dog & Duck

Having recently read Summer at the Dog & Duck I was delighted to discover the prequel! Both can be read as standalone novels but it gave me a warm and cosy feeling to reconnect with Ellie as she meets the awesome Max Golding. Feel-good fiction that will at times pull on those heart-strings as it's very true to life. I loved reading about the locals and the villagers in a way that felt like I was experiencing it all with them. If you want something to cosy up with this autumn, then this is one I can recommend!
