  • Wolf On A Leash by Virginia Nelson

Title :                 Wolf on A Leash                           Black Hills Wolves Author :            Virginia Nelson Reviewed by :  Stephanie Jordan    ♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡ This is the first book by Virginia Nelson that I have read and I am not disappointed. It was a short read but Ms. Nelson paints a .. completely different world with Doms and Subs.. Pain or Pleasure. Patch William was a Wolf, she's also a submissive. Right now Patch is very excite she's going to the dungeon ag all is Kennedy Laurie just came home from a tour in Afghanistan a broken man. Nothing interested him anymore not even women, he never gets a hard on or excited and the things he wanted to do to women was even scarier. There here were rules, yes him the rule breaker needed the read the rules. I was gifted this ARC for an honest and truthful review.

  • Claiming the Dominant

When I first picked up Wolf on a Leash I wasn’t expecting what I got. I mean yeah I expected a Black Hills Wolves story and a bunch of shifters. What I didn’t expect was a BDSM story. After reading this excellent story what really says it all is in the letter to the readers at the end. “I had the great pleasure to be able to visit a couple different clubs over the years. What I saw wasn't the stereotypical relationships so often conveyed in this sort of storytelling. I saw love. I saw fun. I saw exploration. I saw discovery.” What really said she got it was, “The most important thing I saw? A dom's relationship with their submissive isn't supposed to be just about toys and sex. The submissive submits because they know that the dominant party will take care of them and cherish that gift of trust.” That being said, this is a story about a submissive claiming her dominant mate. Patch Williams is a submissive wolf. She’s low on the totem pole and feels she’s nearly invisible. Her submission is inherent. There is nothing she can do about her nature. She craves BDSM. She pushes the limits all the time. She’s learned the hard way to be sneaky in her dealings with the past alpha. So, she is always skirting the edges of disobedience looking for that Dom that can truly master her. In the world of BDSM she is known as Lupine, a more apropos name these humans don’t even realize. She’s sassy and witty and she’s about to meet the man that can make her submit. Kennedy Laurie has been away in the desert fighting a war not of his making. Now he is home; but for how long? His need for kink has always been there. His desire for extremes though has grown. He doesn’t trust himself. He knows he’s damaged. He is known as Minotaur and he’s half owner of the dungeon Lupine has been visiting for years. When these two meet their wills collide. Lupine the submissive enthralls Kennedy. There is nothing he wants more than to strip away her mask and own this woman body and soul. Kennedy may just have found that one thing that will keep him home and grounded. The sex is sizzling and the love and trust builds quick with these two. If I could have wanted anything more from this story, it would have been a slower build and more… more sizzling scenes, more BDSM… ah heck just more. This was an excellent novella. I’ll be combing the booksellers looking for more by Ms. Nelson. I was gifted this book in exchange for an honest review.
