5 star Review Working Back (Cook County #3) by B.J. Harvey What happens when the girl you fell in love with suddenly returns? That is the position Bryant Cook finds himself in when Faith Baker suddenly re appears in his life. I loved Bryant from the time he was introduced in the first book, and all this book has done has made me fall even more in love with him. This series is a great example of RomCom writing at it’s finest; there is nothing that I did love about this book. From the first to the last page I was totally invested and all in with Bryant and Faith. I so wanted them to work through all their issues and to get the happily ever after that they both deserved. Faith hurt Bryant badly when she abruptly left 12 years ago, leaving behind Bryant and all their dreams. Bryant has buried himself in his family business and become a partner in the renovation business led by his brother Jamie, never getting over Faith. It is obvious to everyone around them that Bryant and Faith are meant to be together but can they overcome the hurts of the past, forgive and move forward? Or will circumstances tear them apart again? As with the other books in this series, Working Back is a laugh out loud romantic comedy with lots of heart and family who love and support one another and those they love. However, it is not all sweetness and light, it also shows you how important communication and trust is. This a feel good story that will leave you with a smile on your face and anxious for more from the Cook family.

  • Great Addition to Series

Bryant and Faith has been together since they were children until she just left him. Now years later she is back for Bryant. He does not believe her and gives her an ultimatum. This story has all the feels one could want and these two support but crazy families help them on this journey to find what was always there.

  • Love Me A Cook Brother 😍❤️

Bryant gets his story, and he starts it off with a bang. The love of his life, Faith, shows up after leaving him for 12 years, and his response-marry me. Way to jump right into things lol. Faith says yes, so she can prove she came home to win him back. What follows is two people trying to prove their love, while renovating a house, and hoping for the life they once wanted. But seriously, could you resist a Cook man? I definitely couldn’t. And Bryant will win your heart from the start

  • Fun reunion story

This was a fun read, a reunion story. Faith and Bryant were good together, and I loved how they tried to make the other break, both being so stubborn. The patience they had as well as the struggle over hurt feelings and what had happened in between felt real and kept me reading. I received a copy of this story through Enticing Journey Book Promotions, and this is my unsolicited review.

  • Second chance love

I always wondered what had happened to Bryant when he made appearances in previous books, not that he was a horrible character but I could just tell there was a story to be told. Boy what a tale there is. Bryant Cook and Faith Baker have been friends since childhood, they were each other’s first love and first heartbreak. Twelve years ago Bryant proposed to Faith, but she said no and took an internship in Australia. But Faith is back now and she wants Bryant back. I loved how the rolls were reversed in this book. Faith was the one that had to grovel and prove herself to Bryant. This slow burn romance was filled with laughter, tears, family, and a whole lot of love. Once again little Axel stole my heart. BJ Harvey is the Queen of RomComs, she gives us the right mixture of laughter, romance and drama. But I did feel that this one was a little lacking with the angst. After having your heart broken and the cause of that showing up after 12 years, I just think so more drama was needed. But i still loved and enjoyed this book and can’t wait to see what is next for the Cook family.
