  • Simply Magic

A page turner from start to finish. When Marina's marriage ends her new life starts. A roller coaster ride that you never want to get off. Jana DeLeon has given those of us the Wrong Side of Forty something to smile about.

  • Perseverance

After 2 chapters, I was going to give up. In chapter 3, the deep south small town geriatric female mafia kicked in. From there, total delight ! DeLeon was back with a hilarious vengance. I couldn't devour it quickly enough.

  • Good book but not paranormal

A very good start to a new women's fiction series but this is not a paranormal story. Well, about 1% of the story involves the paranormal. This is a wonderful story about Marina, a middle-aged woman re-starting her life when her current one falls apart. A good solid story with maturity and growth, but that is not what I expected. I think that paranormal women's fiction should be action-filled, exciting and full of the paranormal. I have loved pretty much everything I've read by Jana but this one was a little disappointing. As part of the paranormal women's fiction, I expected more.

  • Loved it! Such a unique story line.

This was such a fun read. Marina a forty something woman who is about to be single again thanks to her cheating husband moves in to the old little house at the fishing camp that belonged to her mother. After quitting her job at the hair styling salon thanks to the owner being the cousin of the girl that her soon to be ex-husband was currently having sex with. Soon Marina finds out some disturbing and hard to believe information, seems that she is a descendant of a God. She also finds out that there is an old artifact that she must find before her world and the world of the Gods both are destroyed. This one is well written has great world building is full of twists and made me laugh several times. I also thought that the story was unique. I have not read another one like it. If you love a good paranormal, a strong older female lead and an easy read this one is for you.

    Thanks for your feedback!
