  • I'm loving Beau and Gigi's story so far...

"Zero Pucks Given" (Las Vegas Angels/ Beau and Gigi Book 1) by Jessa York is a great read. I'm loving Beau and Gigi's story so far. This story is packed with romance, passion, humor, family, friends, hockey, drama, twists, and more. I'm anxious to see what happens next! Highly recommend to all fans of romance, hockey, entertaining characters, family, and series.

  • Top favorite read of the year!

Oh my gosh, this is definitely one of my top reads of the year! Gigi was one feisty heroine. She knew exactly how to put Beau in his place in as few words as possible. Her actions and reactions were often hilarious as well as smart. For a younger woman, she knew what she wanted and how to get it. She was an incredible asset for her team and I loved that she was always there for her teammates. Beau was prone to act first and then beg for forgiveness. But that only added to a lot of the fun moments. Of course, he also messed up royally on occasion and was a tad clueless on how to correct it. It was nice that he never fought his feelings for Gigi. There was also a thread of possessiveness/jealousy with him that I was gobbling up. I can never get enough of that! I loved the banter between Beau and Gigi. They had quite a combustible beginning with the enemies-to-lover vibe going on. The chemistry between Gigi and Beau was evident even as they argued and fought with each other. But holy heck, when this slow burn finally ignited, this couple were FIRE! And then, just as I was getting comfortable for the wrap up at the end of the book, BAM. A twist that leads us straight into a cliffhanger. This is just cruel and unusual punishment! I am in desperate need of the next book...immediately!

  • I love Hockey after reading this

Two hockey teams, two team captains, two puppies! Las Vegas now has a new women’s and men’s team. Beau and Gigi are the team captains for their hockey teams. Throw in the fact that Gigi has crushed on Beau since she was a young girl. Yes, there is an age gap. But it is completely doable. Too bad they do not get along because he likes her riled up. These two will have to fake it for their team owners, the cameras, and their fans. What happens when fake becomes reality and real life comes knocking on the door. The characters are so real, and you feel like you know them. Family, friends they all play important roles in this story. The puppies! Oh, my heart! Those cuties. The French dialect thrown in had me looking up “how to speak French”. I have never loved hockey as much as I do after reading this duet. Bring on the next couple.
