Kobo’s summer 2024 update on new features and fixes
Over the last few months, we've been hard at work making your reading experience the very best it can be. From annotation search and sorting, to filtering content search results, check out our latest features and fixes in Kobo apps and eReaders below.
As always, if you're looking for a fix to a problem you're having right now, get troubleshooting help here.
Mobile Apps
With our latest update to the Kobo Books App, you can now sort and filter any annotations you've made in your eBooks. Easily find and manage your bookmarks, highlights, markups and notes from the annotations list. Customize your view with multi-select filters to see results by annotation type or colour.

You can now sort and filter any annotations you've made while reading your eBooks.
OverDrive (Libby) borrowing
Sometimes you might borrow a book, but Kobo would present you with the book in another language. While that might be a good opportunity for personal growth, usually you just want to read in a language you already know: now when you search for a library eBook to borrow, you’ll see the ones in your language first.
Filtering search results
We’ve made it easier to set your preferences for the kind of content you want to see when searching on store. We sell titles to entice all sorts of readers, but now you can choose whether or not you see adult-rated content in the search results.

Filter your search results in the Kobo store to better suit your preferences.

With filters, you can now hide adult-rated content in your search results.
Identifying book formats on Kobo eReaders
We've updated the checkout on your eReader to display content format types to provide more clarity on the type of book you’re purchasing: whether that’s an eBook, and audiobook, or a fixed-layout eBook like a graphic novel or manga.

Checkout with confidence with a clearer content format display in your cart.
