    Thanks for your feedback!

    Captivating audiobook. One big miss.

I found this audiobook a little addicting (which is great at first). I even did a loop around my neighbourhood a few times to finish out a chapter. I wanted so badly to hear what would happen next...I was captivated in the hopes that the female ‘victims’ would eventually come out victorious...that there would be some sort of punishment inflicted for what had happened to them. I hoped that they would take a stronger stance and I kept listening and listening and wanting for it. Instead, I was disappointed to find that the author tends to cast women in a weak and ‘waify’ (I know that’s not a word-lol) kind of role...and unfortunately they stay that way to the end. The whole ‘win by living your life and taking the high road’ after you’ve been raped or assaulted nonsense is so 1950. It didn’t totally sink in that this wasn’t going to improve until I got to the end to be honest. I held out hope and came out disappointed. I recently sampled another on one of her books (Pretty Girls) to be sure and yep...this seems to be Karens style. While misogyny and sadistic attacks on women that go unpunished may sell books, I won’t be a buyer of another. It’s all just a little too ‘weak little woman’ for my taste. Thanks but no thanks.

    The Good Daughter

I am still listening to this book. The narrator has done an excellent job. The author had a tendency to describe way to much. I. E. She lifted her hand to her mouth, she put it back down on her lap. Tooo much. The story line is interesting. So far so good.

A bit drawn out but good

Sometimes this author gets bogged in the details but I so enjoy the reader and the personalities she evokes

    I wasn’t ready!

Suspenseful, I couldn’t stop listening. I was IN the story.
